Description of Scope of work:-
Government of Bihar through Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (BUIDCo) has mandated IL&FS IDC for preparation of Feasibility report and DPR along with Bid documents for providing basic urban infrastructure services with special reference to Water supply , Sewerage System , Storm Water system in Five towns for the design year 2046 with the base year being 2016 and midyear 2031, in order to shift the town in the fast lane towards development. These Schemes will be funded by under JNNURM.

Component – Design & Engineering for DPR
Reviewing existing maps, studies, and other related documentation to obtain a better understanding of the town’s Storm Water Drainage system prior to the start of fieldwork. Understanding of the existing storm drainage system and identifying the main issues including severity and location of inundation, pollution and other environmental issues of the drains, absence of drainage system or lack of connectivity in conveyance, physical constraints to flow in the drains viz. encroachments into Storm Water Drainage channels, solid waste dumping, natural and man-made obstructions, including pipe culverts and low level causeways, road and rail over bridges, flyovers, canals, permanent ways etc. Identifying appropriate planning and design parameters based on the project area situation; mainly, the appropriate design frequencies of the storms (based on degree of protection needed vs. permitted flooding, based on type of area – residential, commercial, business districts etc), the run-off coefficients, proposed method of computation, proposed channel shapes etc.,
